CORRUPTION STAGES
STAGE 1
BASELINE: His canon disposition and average power levels! Stan is friendly and outgoing, loud and brash, and very lively. He doesn't always outwardly act like it, but he very deeply cares about his loved ones and would do anything for them, even if it means making sacrifices for them.

STAGE 2
INSOMNIA: A frankly common Pines family trait - no one is sure if it's low level corruption or just sort of who they are as people.

HYPERFOCUS/HYPERVIGILANCE: When stressed out, Stan tends to focus on what he actually can do instead of processing whatever is stressing him out so much. It's a very "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" attitude that isn't always good for him.

FATIGUE: As a part of corruption, and because his blood type requires more rest than others, fatigue will set in early if he's corrupted.

POST-DEATH: If Stan dies as a Beast he will revive at minimum Stage 2 or higher.

STAGE 3
ALL STAGE 2 SYMPTOMS: Previous symptoms will either remain in place or become worse.

MEMORY LOSS: As corruption becomes worse for Stan, he will start to have short-term memory issues (as opposed to his more typical retrograde amnesia issues). It will be small things at first, like walking into a room and forgetting what he was doing there, and will get progressively worse as he corrupts more.

LOST TIME: This may also come with lost time, where Stan zones out a little too much and forgets what happened while he was zoned out. It will mostly just unsettle him, like driving past a dozen highway exits in a blink when you're tired.

DIFFICULTY FOCUSING: More fatigue will inevitably lead to this, but at lower stages he will still be present enough of mind for it to frustrate him.

STAGE 4
ALL STAGE 2 + 3 SYMPTOMS: Previous symptoms will either remain in place or become worse.

GENERAL CONFUSION: As the pervious side effects become worse, Stan will experience moments of confusion where he regresses to how he was when he was recovering his memory the first time. He will be generally more agreeable and easily suggestable, and may not recall certain dangers of the setting. HOWEVER, if he has just regained his human form after reviving, he will experience this type of confusion for 12-24 hours after revival and steadily improve to Stage 2.

ASH COMPLEXION: His skin will gradually start to take a grey-ish tone as his corruption worsens. For his family in particular this may be reminiscent of the time he almost turned into an ink blob on them, and given what Dipper learned about others who experienced that, may be a sign of what's to come.

NUMBNESS: Once his skin begins to change, he will no longer be able to feel any sensations in it, good or bad. It will make him slow to react when others touch him, though at this point he will still be able to be touched.

STAGE 5
ALL STAGE 2 + 3 + 4 SYMPTOMS: Previous symptoms will either remain in place or become worse. Changes from here on will happen rapidly and Beasthood is almost certain.

EYE COLOR CHANGE: His eyes will change from brown to electric blue! This seems innocent enough at first, but a close observer will see that the iris and pupil flicker and waver - as though made of flames. In addition, more eyes may begin to appear, sweeping up toward his temples. At this stage, they also glow in darkness like candles.

COMPLEXION: In addition to his skin looking like literal ash, it will now flake and smolder like actual ashes, with small points of blue flame appearing. At this point he cannot be touched without receiving burns.

FANGS + CLAWS: Under his dentures fangs will begin to grow, to the point where the dentures will no longer fit. Dark claws will spout from his smoldering hands.

B E A S T H O O D
BEAST FORM:

LITERALLY ON FIRE INSIDE: What's left of Stan is literally burning from the inside out, visible through his eyes (which are now entirely fire) and through the brand on his back. It cannot be extinguished without killing him. He's literally smoldering and will leave scorch marks on everything - the ground, buildings, you and your friends, everything that comes in contact with him.

FIGHT OR FLIGHT: Without his memories but stuck in a terrifying monster form, Stan will alternate between fight and flight often. He will attack if threatened directly, but will also run if that's what he has to do to survive. It will make a fight against him a difficult one for close CR. He's probably more scared of you than you are of him. ...Maybe.

SMOKEY: Due to the smoke that billows off of him, he could accidentally be mistaken for a very large omen. This is not a mistake you will survive to make twice.
